Frequently Аsked Questions
Can a subsidiary of a Belarusian company or organization registered in the EU be considered as an EU host or partner?
From the legal standpoint, the subsidiary of a Belarusian company or organization registered in an EU Member State is a European company or organization, and can legitimately act as a host organization. Still, MOST+ aims at providing Belarusian professionals the opportunity to have exposure to best European practices and to expand their network of professional contacts with European colleagues and counterpart. It is therefore advisable to choose host organisations which will offer the applicant a truly European experience.
Will MOST+ help finding one or several European hosts/partners?
MOST+ has insufficient resources and expertise to provide professional advice or support to identify European partners in the 27 EU Member States and in the six professional sectors it covers, therefore it cannot provide systematic support to individual applicants to identify their European partner. MOST+ expects applicants to conduct their own research, identify one or several EU-partners and prepare their mobility plan, on their own or along with their EU- partners. Still, MOST+ will provide information about sectoral international events and opportunities in the EU regularly, on its website and on its social media accounts.
How long before the planned mobility should I apply?
Applicants are advised to submit their application not less than two months prior to the start of their mobility. This is due to the fact that processing an application and transferring grant money takes time. In case an applicant needs a visa to travel to the EU, a delay of three months is required.
Is it necessary to have established a partnership in the EU before to apply?
In order to apply, contacts with at least one EU-based organisation should have been established and an activity plan for the planned mobility should have been agreed upon with that organisation. An important result of the mobility scheme would be that a lasting partnership between a Belarusian professional and one or more EU-based organisation has been established when the mobility is completed.
What is the minimum number of contacts (meetings) that should be planned when organizing a mobility project?
There is no required minimum number of contacts envisaged for planning a mobility. Mobility participants are invited to seize the opportunity offered by their mobility to expand their portfolio of professional contacts with EU-based colleagues and counterparts. It is considered more important to establish quality contacts that will last beyond the mobility and result in sustainable and lasting partnerships, rather than numerous superficial contacts.
How do I find a company where I could conduct an internship in the business sector, for which I could claim a MOST+ mobility grant?
With the good reputation of Belarusian professionals and the contacts you already have abroad, it should not be too difficult to identify an EU-based company willing to welcome you as intern, especially as you would not expect any remuneration, being the recipient of a MOST+ grant. If you have no contacts, a good way to develop a professional network would be to attend an international convention in your business sector in the EU. Following this experience, you would have developed the basis of your business network and would be able to apply for a second mobility which could consist in an internship in a company with which you would have established contact at the convention.
